Martine Aubanet
If I said that I like Gentry, I really like Madame Aubanet. She and my master were thrown together in the first of their adventures and I could see from the beginning that they were attracted to each other. I can see his point of view. She is a stunningly attractive, rich lady, recently widowed. She has impeccable manners and great charm. She also knows a lot about dogs. So few people really do.
My master is less endowed with these attributes. Be that as it may, they seem to get on together well and I am delighted because we visit her farm in the Camargue from time to time where I am allowed to rush about chasing everything in sight and having a whale of a time. This is much more interesting than going after a mechanical rabbit around a grotty dog track in East London. Believe me.
She is almost my favourite person and I suspect for my master too.
